SCMS fall sports practice Print E-mail

Practices for Shady Cove Middle School volleyball and football will begin Aug. 23.  Practices will run 3:30-5:30 Monday-Thursday the first week, and practice schedules will be handed out for the following two weeks.

Participation is very important, as there is only three weeks until the first games.  Please wear appropriate clothing and footwear and bring water bottles.  Volleyball players will also need knee pads.

Volleyball camp in Eagle Point Print E-mail

An Eagle Point Youth Volleyball Camp is planned from 6-8 p.m. Aug. 16, 17, 19 and 20 in the gymnasiums at EPHS.

The cost will be $45 per student. The camp is for girls coming into the fifth-ninth grades.

EPHS Head Coach Rob Kleker and the rest of the EPHS coaches and players will be on hand to assist. They will divide campers by age to provide greater focus on each level. Older students will also learn basic defensive and offensive strategies and alignments.

Girls 14U Cal-Ripken went to Roseburg, Sunday July 11th, came home with the second consecutive State Championship trophy. Butte Falls basketball Print E-mail

Quinton Weaver, Harley Casillas, Josh McGonagle and coach Kim Horn. Three Butte Falls players were selected to the 1A All-Star West Team. Coach Horn was chosen to coach the All-Star squad. The tournament was held June 25 and 26 at the Sister High School gymnasium. Members of the team were from the Mountain Valley and Skyline leagues. These young men played real well, but lost to the Northern Champion team 61-70.
